• JOIN US for The Latino Family Literacy Project Events this summer!!!

    The Dunkirk City School District is excited to offer a summer literacy program for our families and children!  Please see the links below for details and registration information.  This program is free and will have child care for parents/guardians with young children.  We hope you can join us!

    The MS/HS program will focus on college planning - how to make the dream of college a reality.

    • Learn whether college is something for you and your family to consider
    • Learn how to choose classes needed for high school and college
    • Learn about the college preparation and application

    Dates for Summer 2018: Tuesdays, July 10, 24, 31, August 7, 14

    Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

    Location: Dunkirk Senior High School Cafeteria, 75 W. 6th Street

    Latino Family Literacy - HS


    The elementary program will focus on new books to read with your children while creating a family album.   

    Dates for Summer 2018: Tuesdays, July 10, 24, 31, August 7, 14

    Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

  • 21st Century Learning Center/Empire State Grant After School and Summer School Programs

    The mission of the Dunkirk CSD 21st CCLC and Empire State grants is to increase the capacity of participating students, particularly English Language Learners and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, to attain NYS Learning Standards and gain the skills they need to complete high school, pursue higher education, or enter a career field with growth potential in the region.
