The American Rescue Plan (ARP) federal funding budget
The Dunkirk City School District is receiving $13,062,297 in federal grant money through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) funds. and Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds.
The Dunkirk City School District ARP/ESSER Plan, located below, outlines how such funds will be expended and how the district will prioritize spending on non-recurring expenses.

The district will also conduct ongoing outreach, paying for translating and interpreting services as needed to ensure effective communication with individuals with limited English proficiency and provide reasonable accommodations such as interpreters and written materials in alternate formats for individuals with disabilities upon request.
The district sought public comments from parents, teachers, and other stakeholders. Comments were submitted to Superintendent Michael Mansfield via email (mmansfield@g.dunkirkcsd.org) prior to August 10, 2021. Following the comment period, grants have been released from the NYS Education Department and completed.
