Welcome to Ms. Michael's
Welcome ladies and gentlemen!
I hope all of you are as excited as I am to begin the 2014-2015 school year. You will be a part of changes in curriculum that we hope will prepare you not only for college, but life outside of Dunkirk High School. Please take some time to reflect on your goals for this year, what strengths you have to achieve those goals, and what you may need to do differently to make this year successful. Remember that anything worth doing is worth doing right. Your humor, insight, and work ethic is a forecast of what you can be.
*For those of you taking the Regents exam in Geometry, please notice the changes in NYS Regents Common Core exam dates in June. Common Core exams will take place on June 2nd, 2014, with the traditional Regents Exams given from June 16th - 25th, 2014.
Dunkirk offers a wide range of resources so that all of our students may be successful. The resources include after-school programs, review sessions, AIS and Lab classes, and as always, your teachers. You drive your educational outcome. Stay focused, and remember your classmates and friends may be able to help you as much as you help them.
It can be very difficult to find a balance between academics, a social life and school activities, but please schedule your time accordingly.
