  • The Golden Ticket incentive was a way for all Dunkirk schools to recognize students for “doing the right thing” in the first two weeks of school. All faculty and staff were given ten golden tickets to hand out to the students. Each Golden Ticket winner received a Walmart gift card. The district is planning to do two more Golden Ticket events throughout the year.

  • Beginning September 4th, 2018:
     
    All Elementary School instruction begins promptly at 8AM and ends at 2:30PM
     
    Middle School instruction begins promptly at 8AM and ends at 2:45PM
     
    High School instruction begins promptly at 8AM and ends at 2:59PM

  • Below is the Power Point shared with the Dunkirk Board of Education, Faculty and Staff in December of 2017

     

    These items are a result of extensive research (in excess of 40+ documents reviewed) into school district reconfiguration and was shared with the Dunkirk Board of Education at the January 2018 workshop

     

    At the January 11, 2018 workshop the Dunkirk Board of Education made the following decisions:

    • Examine the reconfiguration proposal
    • Examine reconfiguration through the fall of 2018, while exploring the possiblity of implementation for the 2019-2020 school year
    • Develop stakeholder task force groups

  • New York is requiring that each public school post the phone number for the state's child-abuse hotline in a prominent location where students can see it. The District is happy to provide this information for the safety of all children.

    The statewide toll-free number is 1-800-342-3720.
