School 7 students learn a valuable lesson

School 7 students

Students in Miss Reece's class at School 7 learned the importance of not judging a book by its cover from the story "Spookley the Square Pumpkin."  Spookley is a square pumpkin who lives in a round pumpkin patch world and is, therefore, the “Official Spokes-Pumpkin” for National Bullying Prevention Month in October.

Throughout the book, Spookley helps early learners discover that the things that make us different are the things that make us special. First and second grade students painted their own unique pumpkins to celebrate Spookley and showcase the importance of acceptance.
