Curriculum Councils

As a part of the District Strategic Planning Process, Curriculum Councils will be established in the district in order to support the development, implementation and modification of curriculum, instruction and assessments K-12.

  • 2018-2019 School Year: Development of ELA and Math Curriculum Councils
  • 2019-2020 School Year: Development of Science and Social Studies Curriculum Councils
  • 2020-2021 School Year: Development of Arts, Health/PE and Technology Curriculum Councils

Councils will be made up of teachers and administrators who have voice and influence in the district to make recommendations to the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent regarding curriculum and instruction issues.  The councils will funcation as a learning team that will meet at least four times throughout the year and once in the summer to explore issues related to improving instruction for all students, review the latest information from NYSED that would impact instruction and work together to design and support district initiatives.
