DHS Spirit Week starts next week during the four days before winter break from Dec. 18 - Dec. 21.
Mrs. Domenico and Mrs. Larivey, Student Council Advisers, announced the theme for each day.

Monday 12/18: Pajama Day

Tuesday 12/19: Ugly Sweater Day
Wednesday 12/20: On Warm and Cozy Day wear mittens, gloves, bulky sweaters, winter hats but no baseball caps
Thursday 12/21: On Merry Marauder Day wear your favorite marauder gear and jazz it up with some holiday decorations.
Friday: 12/22: No School -- vacation begins

Spirit Week in Dec. 2017 will help get students ready for the Homecoming II dance in Jan. 2018.
The Homecoming II dance will be held in the gym from 8-11 on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018. The cost of the dance is $5.
“Last year’s second homecoming was very successful and highly attended,” said Domenico. “We used to have a winter formal for the seniors but we decided to stick with the homecoming.”
“There will be no food because at the first homecoming people brought the food into the gym,” said Domenico.
Mrs. Larivey added that the dance should give students a fun evening and a chance to make memories.
Domenico added that the purpose of the dance is about “celebrating the awesomeness of students, school spirit, and Dunkirk Marauders.”
Mrs. Larivey stated, Tywon Wright, sophomore, and Sabien Smith, senior, have been helping her on her dance moves bt mostly on the “Milly Rock”. She said she is hoping for it to be ready by homecoming dance.
Larivey also noted that she has always wanted to do a flash mob with the Dunkirk students at homecoming. Want to know if that’s true? Be sure to head to the dance to find out.
