GET YOUR FLAPJACKS AT APPLEBEE'S THIS SATURDAY DEC. 16 TO SUPPORT JROTC
By Taylor Rancka

A delicious flapjack breakfast hosted by JROTC will be held on Dec. 16 from 8-10 am at Applebee’s in Dunkirk.
“Every single year we do flapjack breakfast at Applebee's,” said Sergeant Torain, head of JROTC at DHS. Each breakfast costs $6.
Torain explained how this fundraiser helps the JROTC program.
“We raise money for the cadet staff ride, the military ball, and our awards banquet.”
There are several other fundraisers that occur throughout the school year.
“We do the apparel fundraiser for fan cloth, spaghetti dinner at Post 62, and others” said Torain. “The reason that we fundraise is because the army gives us money for all our equipment, office supplies, and the school gives us budget for transportation.”
So go down to Applebee's and purchase a fulfilling breakfast that won't only just fill your grumbling stomach, but will satisfy the rest of your week knowing that you helped support the program and got to good grub at the same time.
Don't wait for next year, so get up and go get yourself some flapjacks on Saturday morning and show your support for JROTC.
