My Day at the Special Olympics CLICK HEADLINE TO READ CHRISTINA'S ARTICLE

I had fun at Special Olympics on May 30 at Fredonia State.

The opening ceremony was exciting. I thought it was an honor when we sang the anthem. I also liked the part when we said the Pledge of Allegiance.

I had to do the long jump. I won a first place and a second place ribbon for long jump and for throwing a softball. I ran really fast. I felt like a champion when I walked around the campus, even though it rained. When I stood in the crowd and said the pledge I felt like a queen. I felt like a tiger whose roar is mightier than its bite.

My entire class participated as well. I’d like to thank Miss Reece for teaching me to be myself. I thank Mr. Wolf for teaching me to throw a ball. I also thank Ms. Wise for teaching me to be myself and to follow my dreams. I liked seeing my friend, Angel, from the middle school. My friends and I all had a great time at the Special Olympics.

I had fun at Special Olympics. I throw well. I believe that every girl can follow their dreams. I always wanted to be in the school newspaper, so this article accomplishes my goal.
